During this week (May31st – June 4th) we are translating the Arduino web to Spanish. Participants from all over are contributing to make this possible. We are channeling all our communication via the Spanish email list (es [at] arduino.cc). If you want to help out, join the email list and we will tell you how.

You can follow the process by clicking this link. We have 413 documents to translate. Some of them are orphans, which means we had them in previous versions of the site, but are no longer used. We will have a second outcome from this process: which pages should be left out from the server. We started 3 hours ago, and we have accomplished 5% of the total already. However, there is still a lot to do.

We are learning by doing, some of the contributors are not just translating pages, but suggesting a style guide on the fly. If this experiment works fine, I think we will have set up a way for doing things in community.

I expect having a translation ready by Friday. Then we will jump into the evaluation phase, when we will have to analyze how good was our work.
